Amanda Bacolas and her siblings were screened through the Washington School District at three years old with severe developmental, language, and cognitive deficits.
The measurements used to determine these disabilities were the Cognitive Abilities Test and later, the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children.

Due to stressors associated with his custody as a single parent in 1998 and the development of sociopathic and narcissistic traits with the Bacolas children in their late childhood and into their adolescence, Michael Robertson enrolled all his children in catechism at the Catholic Church, which they completed and was confirmed. However, extreme narcissism came to fruition in the children's late adolescence, from what was believed were brain abnormalities based on the children's developmental and cognitive delays (areas of the brain responsible for empathy), the issues of abuse and neglect by their mother stemming from the 1998 custody, and a menticide perpetrated by the mother after a nine year absence of maternal abandonment. Subsequently, the Bacolas children developed narcissistic personality traits and severe mental illnesses by early adulthood.

Amanda and her siblings were very angry with the marriage as they viewed Michael's new wife as taking resources they should be the beneficiary of (narcissist adult children), they resented the second wife because Michael turned over his personal and financial affairs to her so he could focus on his mentally ill older children and parenting his two little boys (Twalla Robertson was the CFO and financial secretary for the business), they were angry because Twalla Robertson favored her own daughter over them (which she should have), they were very unhappy because Twalla Robertson had a severe alcohol and drug addiction problem (which diverted "their money' for her own habits), and due to those issues, the older children resented their father due to the mental and abusive relationship with Twalla due to her drug and alcohol abuse issues.
The last time Michael Robertson saw Amanda Bacolas was in 2014, in his living room when Twalla Robertson degraded her for not going to college and telling Amanda that her daugther, Kalin Wynne, would be a better person because she had enrolled in a paramedic certificate program at Glendale Community College.
Michael Robertson has not spoken to his daughter again since this incident.

Her father attempted contact with his daughter from the cardiac unit of Del Webb hospital in Surprise, Arizona, in 2015, when an adverse effect from a medication he was taking caused symptoms of a cardiac arrest.
At that time, Michael Robertson called Amanda's work and feigned to be her brother to get through the screening so she would take his call. He thought he was having a heart attack and wanted to see his daughter.
Amanda responded with a bizarre cell phone text that was out of character for a girl, who up to that point, had no symptoms of mental illness. Did his daughter succumb to severe mental illness as well from the continuous onslaught of insanity from her severe mentally ill siblings, the continuous menticide by the mother (Julie Bacolas), or was she beginning to show signs of severe mental illness that was undetected, but eventually came out in time due to her genetic predispositions, inherited from her mother?
That question cannot be answered because Michael Robertson has not seen his daughter since 2014. However, due to her behavior regarding his father's dependency, her willingness to become a flying monkey for her cohorts and the state of Arizona, and the atrocious defamation of character she perpetrated on her father...generalities and assumptions can be made regarding Amanda Bacolas' mental health.

Michael Robertson wanted to make contact with his daughter when he had a stroke in 2016, paralyzing the right side of his face and disfiguring his upper lip (requiring plastic surgery). He wanted to make contact with his daughter when he was diagnosed with Parkinsonism Syndrome (tardive dyskinesia), but Michael Robertson felt it best to distance himself from his severely mentally ill older offspring and focus on dealing with substance abuse and parenting issues regarding his second wife, Twalla Robertson.

DCS was made aware of these risks of exposing his minor children to these severely mentally ill adults, but Lisa Millett ignored the concerns and warnings of Michael Robertson (specifically regarding his oldest mentally ill son). The Arizona Department of Child Safety, Lisa MIllett, and Joelle Higby thought that putting the children in harms way was in the better interests of the state than to return the minor children back to a heavily vetted and credentialed father. In 2010, Michael Robertson expressed concern to Amanda Bacolas regarding the extreme mental health symptoms and behaviors exhibited by her three siblings.
At that conversation, Amanda admitted to her father that Julie Bacolas had a "family meeting" with three of the siblings (Christopher was notably absent and not invited as he witnessed his mother's abuse first hand, he gave testimony to DCS investigators regarding the neglect and abuse by Julie Bacolas, and he had extreme animosity because of her failure to take responsibility for her desertion of her children for a sex predator).

It is a common coping mechanism for children of abuse to seek approval and affirmation from the abusing parent. The Stockholm Syndrome occurs when children or abuse victims may come to sympathize with the abusive parent. This is the opposite of the fear, terror, and disdain that might be expected from the victims in these situations.(Lorde, 2021).
Amanda Bacolas was very apologetic to her father for the behaviors of her sister and brother, and she knew what Julie Bacolas was doing....lying to save face with her children....severely mentally ill and cognitively challenged from childhood.
At the conclusion of that conversation with her father, Amanda Bacolas promised to never turn on her father or buy into a reality she knew was not true, as the young lady was of sound mind and body at this time, and had no symptoms of genetic or environmental mental illness like her siblings. Amanda had a grasp of reality and remembered her childhood.
That promise was broken in 2020.

Disgusting display of government interference and intrusion in the American family!
The Department of Child Safety in Arizona had no valid case in 2019 for a dependency against Michael Robertson.
Due to a medical condition and his attorney's failure to show up to court for a scheduled hearing, DCS and the state filed and was granted a default judgment on an erroneous severance.
An appeal was filed with the Arizona Court of Appeals, and prior to the court reversing the default against the vetted Michael Robertson, the State withdrew the original default and severance based on "errors". Those errors being outright false pleadings by the state as DCS had no case, no evidence, and no cause to justify a severance of parental rights on a fit parent.
In January, 2020, Michael Robertson was preparing for a return of his two minor sons to his care. Celebrations were abound from church member, parents in the community, neighbors, co-workers, business associates, and friends who knew Michael Robertson and the trauma he had endured at the hands of a rogue DCS by removing his children from his care.
A tort attorney was contacted to represent Michael Robertson and his minor children for the illegitimate and tortious interference with his parenting and the pain and suffering caused by the state and the Arizona Department of Child Safety by the wrongful removal of his children.

Apparently, the rules of "double jeopardy" does not apply to a government agency, hell bent on removing a child from a fit parent in order to avoid a multi-million dollar civil judgment for government misconduct.
A second severance was filed by the department and the state in February, 2020. Unbelievable. The 23 year abuse survivor was now a target of more abuse by his own government, to mitigate an obvious civil judgment against the State of Arizona and the bad PR that would create for the agency.

In 1996, Mr. Favella’s sister was brutally murdered and her body dismembered by her husband in the state of California. This event caused great trauma to both families.
